My wife has a seminar to attend next month in Las Vegas so I will have 2 days with nothing to do except cruise around by myself all day. Are there any train shops I can visit in area? As always, I appreciate your responses.

When I was last there, I found a small but well stocked train store on Chandler. It is in the flight pattern to McCarren and just east of the airport.
You are taking a real "gambel" with those train shops...

I think the name of the shop is THE ENGINEER. Last time I was there is was well stocked and I met him again at Mike Reagan's service station school.
The name is the Train Engineer on Chandler (its a business park) off of Eastern Avenue. Hours can be a bit different so make sure you know before you head that way. The shop is small but packed from the floor to the rafters (16' ceilings). Gotta dig to find stuff but staff is very helpful if you are looking for something specific but don't be in a hurry 
. Prices are typical for here on the west coast.
