My balky remote is still balky.  It's been back to MTH where nothing wrong was found.  If I'm standing right directly in sight of the TIUs it will work ... but just "okay".  The other remote works anywhere in the train room, in sight of the TIUs or out of sight ... makes no difference.  Commands are quickly processed.

The board in remote 2 is seated, with the foam strip holding it firm under the cover.

It also has an annoying habit of leaving the horn blowing after one tap until I turn the locomotive off and restart it.  The other remote doesn't do that.

So, is there any way to "hop up the antenna signal" on the "bad" remote?

We, and MTH, are out of ideas on what causes the problems.
