P&D Hobby in Fraser, MI, would be a good possibility...they specialize in O-scale.

 

Walthers is a distributor for Precision Scale, but does not inventory a full line at all times.  Back-ordered items do eventually arrive, however.

That's where I start - it's very, very easy to meet the minimum order amount,

Precision Scale always tells you three weeks, bit in fact my last couple orders arrived in just a few days.

I always check Caboose Hobbies first. They keep their online inventory up to date.

It appears the 40605 is in stock, the second item is not.

As for dealing direct with PSC my last order took about 2 months to arrive.
