I am thinking of buying one and wonder if any forum members may have one, how it operates, and how they like it.

An example is the 30-39370 Norfolk Southern unit in the 2013 Vol. 1 catalog. Can the rotary action be turned on/off via switch or does it run constantly when powered up?

ALSO, the MTH website indicates "interior lighting," but does the "headlamp" above the rotary illuminate too?

 Thanks!

I ended up buying mine a year ago.  Although I tested it, I have not used it.  The rotary on my PRR version is all Tuscan red, which makes it almost impossible to see that it is spinning.  If anyone is interested in one, I recommended a version in which MTH painted the rotary in two different colors.
