Growing up there were a number of very high red and white television antenna towers not far from my childhood home.  In fact, the area is referred to by pilots and air traffic controllers as "tv alley".  These giants had very slow blinking red lights in accordance with FAA rules to warn aircraft of their height and location.  They also had guy-wires that stretched long distances.  Example:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F..._tower_guy_wires.JPG

Has anyone modeled these tower in O gauge either individually or from a company?  I know Faller and some foreign companies have done this in HO.  Of course, it would be virtually impossible to make the highest ones to O scale given their height.

While growing up, I always found the slow blinking red lights to be ironically calming and of course reliable.  It was always interesting to look at them to find the fog or cloud level.  I think it would be very possible to model such with plastics and LEDs.
