The engineers sounds like Rich Melvin voice. Anyone notice it? I think the Lionmaster Challenger and the new ES44AC sounds like him.

Yes I have.
It's pretty much leftover from his recording for the 765 Berkshire.
Could be...
Just think of the royalties.
I just saw the copy of the new crew talk dialog that Rich has to VO. One of the lines is, "Let's get these diesels in a lash up so we can drive this train down the tracks."
It's the golden pipes of Rich Melvin.....which is an exponential improvement over the heavy New York City or Boston accent that was used in way too many locos.....IMHO.

The Eastern accents are particularly entertaining when incorporated with Western liveries.
Jon it could be a southern draw on a northern livery like NYC now that would be entertaining

Bingo! Like on my Santa Fe 3751?
NYC or Boston & Albany, etc....I get it. West of the Mississippi? No thanks. I'd rather listen to Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite......
