New to this software. I just ordered anyrail software and I have a question on running more than one rail in parallel is there a easy way to do this to get spacing the same to run 2,3,4 main lines around the outside of a layout ?
I was thinking you could maybe run 3 lines at once instead of just one at a time it kind of hard to get it all equal eh. Whats the magical spacing between lines? Thanks
Press F1 and read the AnyRail instructions for "add parallel flex". Or just build on with individual pieces, this can be done quickly by holding "shift" when you click on pieces to add. Or use copy and paste to quickly duplicate highlighted sections of track. Read the instructions which are included with the program! I think you will find it easy to use after you get the hang of it.
It's so quick to place tracks in AnyRail that I don't often try to do something like that. Once you're laying them down, after the first one is spaced correctly, having a straight line spaced correctly is about a 10 second exercise to lay the rest of the track. The curves you'll have to think about anyway.
If you want to check your track spacing, enlarge the diagram, then place a "ruler" and position the end points to whatever you want to check. I often leave these 'rulers' on the track plan for reference. You can also make a "ruler" of whatever size and drag it around and rotate it to check different places. You can also easily cut and paste copies of rulers and different items.
