The new Cristmas cars, the gondola with snow and snow boarding Santas and LEDs plus the flat car with Santa and slay and a few raindeer plus LEDs, will we see them before Christmas? Only time will tell.

You might; MTH ran a livestream from their headquarters display on Youtube today (see below); I think I saw those cars (or at least prototypes) on the holiday train (led by the ES44) they were running.

A dealer was told by MTH that both the Santa sleigh with reindeer and LEDs and the LED Nativity flatcars won't be arrive until January. Bummer for those people who'd preordered them with the itention of running them this Christmas. Regular item shipping delays are bad enough but holiday item shipping delays are a real disappointment and downer.
Not only with the MTH cars but looks like Lionel is going to blow it with the scale Polar Express cars....I got the scale PE engine in August. It's just siting on a siding here, looking for a train to pull. Gotta get to the North Pole before Midnight on 12/24, you know....
Posted this in another thread last week. Those two MTH "Santa" cars with LEDs are showing on Charles Ro's site as January and February arrivals. He's usually close to the mark so unless a "Christmas miracle" is in order they will not make it.
Reminds me of last year when MTH muffed the CP holiday locos. The box cars were delivered in November but locos came in after the New Year. 
I am very frustrated with how this has been going for the last 2 years. The CP Rail engine was delayed last year, when I finally got it, my layout was disassembled so I had no place to test it. Setup the layout a few weeks ago and guess what? The upper LEDs were all out. My dealer did not have a unit to replace it with so I decided to open it up to see if I could fix it. It was a total quality control issue. The wires to the top row of lights were pinched between one of the shell mounting posts and the frame. I was able to fix it but being that the wires the LEDs are so small, it was a bit sketchy. Now this year everything that I ordered is delayed. MTH's site says the Christmas stuff is delivered August 2018 but we all know that's wrong. Another piece I ordered that was scheduled for November has been updated until Feb 2019. 
My dealer says MTH is still trying to get the Christmas stuff out before the 25th. We'll see...

I’m in the same boat...ur, I mean train! Have four (4) Christmas units on order right now. All are MTH...the Santa Reindeer Flat, Snowboarding Santas Gondola, Naughty Hopper and Santa Caboose...so pretty disappointed that they are so overdue! I did purchase a lighted Christmas Tree Flat earlier and have that...guess I’ll have to be satisfied with that for now...🤨

G-R-E-A-T news! Just Trains of Delaware is picking up their allotment of MTH's Santa sleigh with reindeer and LED's flatcar from MTH today and will ship them Monday so unless FedEx delivers on New Years Day these flatcars should arrive January 2nd. It's a shame MTH didn't receive them a week earlier so people could have run them during Christmas to New Years week. Well, folks can still run them but rather than Santa arriving from the North Pole, he'll instead be returning to the North Pole. LOL
I have a few cars on order at the Muffins......at this point.....I guess we'll all be set up and ready for Dec 2019 !

Hi Peter...Received these yesterday from RO, still have the caboose on backorder...checked them out and gave them a couple of loops around the layout...so remind me again...how long is it until Christmas??? 🤪
