Description:
 Arizona Big Train Operators Exhibit rolls into the Main Library Station bringing their model trains (G-Scale), several track layouts and historical dioramas.  The exhibit consists of train track assembled on portable steel frames that are assembled at children's eye level.
There will also be an ongoing, hands-on switching exercise for children to experience.
Program will be held in the Saguaro Room

They are there the rest of the week, including Saturday.  Their hours basically follow the Library's hours for the weekdays, that being 10 to 6 most days.  Saturday they are there 10 to 2 so that they have time to pack up and be out by 5 when the library closes.

 

Sorry no photos at this point, I took them with my nice camera, not my cell, so it's at home.  But they had 3 "layout" going.  First was an Inglenook Sidings puzzle for kids to try their hand at switching.  My 11 year old handled that like an expert.  Next they had a double main large loop with scenery.  They had a paper that kids could fill out answering questions about the scene.  While we were there, a club member had a MTH locomotive going and was allowing the kids to control it via the DCS remote for a pass of the loop.  My 2 year old loved that, bell ringing the whole time.  Then they had a small double loop with Thomas and Percy and buttons to power the track when held for the kids to make them go.  They boys enjoyed it.
