Is it possible, or should I say, is it relatively easy to convert an Atlas 2 Rail RS-1 with electro-couplers to Kadees?
Would I need to modify the pilots, (make the opening smaller or larger)?

It is possible. I have a friend who has done it. I'm not sure what he had to do but it wasn't a real big job from what he says.

I put them on an SW8. It was a simple bolt on exercise.
Then I took them off because they didn't mate well with Kadees.
I have several pairs for sale if anyone is interested.

In the meantime I did find an article on changing couplers on a similar engine, which I think will apply here.
The one I'm getting is a 2 rail with TMCC and the electro couplers. It's one that Atlas made that will run an AC with the TMCC or straight DC.
I also found an article on removing the TMCC, which I'm probably going to do.
