New Atlas O Bulkhead flats are out, they look great.

Now just need to build some loads for them.

But they will not go around the 0-36 curves as advertised?

Using Atlas track just a few spots that are tight on the layout. Trucks bind on center beam which is metal and cannot grind down with ease, but also side frames on trucks hit the side of the car.

Any suggestions on fixing?

Perhaps some trucks with lower profile wheels and thinner side frames??

What they look like does not matter as much as they are partially hidden.

Great looking cars otherwise nice detailing and rotating bearing caps.

As you have probably already noticed, those cars are prototypical in ride height, which is very low.  As you have seen, the truck side frames are hitting the deck skirting first. After that, the wheels will come in contact with the center beam. I would try removing the phillips screw holding the truck to the body. Try adding thin washers thus elevating the car body from the trucks. This might get you a little extra swing on the trucks before contact with the body is made.

What are your thoughts on On30?...{sorry, couldn't help it}

A pic of the problem would be difficult to do with track in the way, so I'd suggest taking some clay and putting in areas where you suspect it's hitting, or all around the truck to see where it's hitting. This way you can tell what areas are affected and where carving will be an issue or a non event.

Chaeck your trucks for stuffing box width past the wheels...if those on the car are wider than anything else you have...and the outer trucks are hitting, you might be able to swap trucks to a skinnier pair if that's the only place they're hitting.

You may wish to send an email to Atlas and inquire about the 0-36 curve issue and see what they say..if it was a typo they need to fix that fast, if it's for real{doubtful} they need to make it right.

I seem to be able to get them around the 0-36 parts of the curves but they bind drag and partially lift off the track.

The easiest fix will be to just move these to the ceiling loops of track with 0-72 curve being the tightest. Most 0-120/96 up there have all the long scale stuff up top.

Will tinker with some narrower truck designs with less sticking out the side of the truck and smaller wheels.

Only a couple of sections of 0-36 curves. Future plans may be able to redo this section in a very tight corner. Lets see move the washer dryer out and replumb some pipes ! that should give me the clearance for 0-45 curves!

These are really great looking cars very detailed.
