Atlas containers, stack able?

Yes, all Atlas O containers can be utilized as you've described. Their mounting pins align with each other--

I have been collecting intermodal cars since the 80's and have examples of just about every one ever made; I have many Atlas containers, new and/or barely used, in their original boxes and a Gunderson still in the shipping carton.  I have way too much stuff, both used and new, that will never see the tracks and would like to thin out my collection, so contact me if interested.

Careful,  the Atlas 20' bottom container pins do not match up and are not removable like the others.   Putting Atlas 20' containers on the bottom of the 53' wells takes some work.

So not that it often matters especially while on the train, but the 40' and 45' Atlas master containers feature opening doors, which is one of the reasons why they seem a little pricey.  Not to mention certain schemes are a little hard to find.   Trying to recall, I think MSRP of the 40' containers last run was like $24.95 and 45' was like $27.95
