I have an Atlas 0-6-0 Founders Series, Atlas #1701-2, scale engine, CB&Q #505, TMCC, rail sounds, etc. . The engine was bought used. It runs GREAT, love the sound, and am very happy with it EXCEPT:
When the engine is running forward and I hit the direction button, the engine CREEPS forward. If I don't apply power immediately to reverse the engine, it will continue to move forward and then I can not revere it. In order for me to control it in reverse, I have to hit the direction button and immediately have to apply power to start moving the engine in reverse, otherwise it creeps forward.
HOWEVER, I notice that if I hit AUX 2 on my Legacy remote, the head light and back up lights go out. If I hit direction control while the engine is in the forward position, the engine comes to a FULL stop and does NOT creep forward. I can even wait several seconds before giving it power, and it moves in reverse, just like it should.
So I "assume" that there is something with the head and back up lights that may be causing an issue with the reverse unit.
Has anyone every had this issue and if so, what is the fix?
Also, does anyone know where I can pick up an instruction manual for this engine?
Thanks,
Ray
