Atlas O Dash 8's arrive.....

Mine showed up yesterday. (Thanks Steve!). I just took a quick look at one and it’s a beauty. The snow plow looks to have broken off in transit, but that’s an easy fix. I might swap in a part more prototypical for ATSF. Interestingly, no crew figures. I don’t think I care, since I can add my own if I want.  I like the absence of the plastic motor shield in the cab. It makes it more open and realistic than the typical can motor diesel. The fire cracker antenna is wrong for Santa Fe, but easy to replace.  I’ll try them out tonight and later fix the pilots and handrails add Kadees

Got my CSX/TMCC version yesterday and got it running today. Sounds, detailed, and running well makes me want to consider more Atlas locos. And since it is TMCC it smokes well when running in conventional.

they were mentioned at York in April 2018. Atlas said end of May 2018 but I have not heard anymore.

I was told by the end of June.... 

Here are some pictures..... Over half have shipped..... 

Do these have fixed or movable pilots? I assume they have highrail wheel sets also.

Movable pilots and high rail wheels.

I may see I can obtain from Atlas the spacer parts used to fix the pilots on the two-rail versions. Otherwise I’ll improvise.

Now that the Dash 8’s have arrived any word when the F3’s will be arriving

Anyone have any videos of the conventional or TMCC 3-rail? I like the Santa Fe one...
