The 3 rail tmcc version of this looks good. I found a good deal on one. My question for those who know or have one. Do these have a lionel motor driver board in them? Or do these have the tas board? I removed the top center body piece on this locomotive and saw 4 boards. The one up near the cab looked like the lionel motor driver board but I could not tell at a quick glance. The bottom main board these 4 pluged into said lionel on it. I was not able to take the shell off completely at the shop where I saw it at.
The reason I ask is if this has the lionel motor driver board then it can easily accept an err cruise commander m board. I could still get this engine, but am affraid to purchase this engine if it cannot take the cruise m board. Just adding the cruise m board to get the slow cruise control would be cheaper than replacing all the electronics in the engine. Thus my overal cost for this plus the cost of the engine would be a good deal. If I have to replace all of the electronics with the regular cruise commander to get it to run better at slow speeds it would cost to much and just make price on this just not worth it.
The engine is in like new condition and fully operational. I just cant justify spending 200 more dollars to get cruise control. If it has the lionel motor driver board and all I have to spend is just about 90 for a err cruise m board I may well have found a good deal. For those who know or have one can you please let me know. If it does have a lionel motor driver board I will contact the seller and get it. Thanks.
