B6 switcher marker lights

I don't know for sure, but many K-Line and Lionel units of that vintage used 2mm ceramic LED's for the class lights and markers.  I get the ceramic LED's from Digikey, and it sure doesn't take a month, more like two days.

Just to confirm John's suspicions, the K-Line engines do indeed use 2 mm ceramic LEDs, red and green.

A lot of the brass locomotives and tenders did have incandescent bulbs, but the Lionel and K-Line of that vintage had already moved to LED.

It shouldn't be difficult, most of those just slide into the lamps.  I've noticed that the little ceramic LED's are the most fragile and also are burned out that most other types.  I very rarely have an LED issue with other LED's, but those little markers/class lights I've replaced a few times.

It is the old tooling. The Legacy is much better than the old K Line.  The K Line had a puffer smoke unit.  Legacy is great.  The TMCC in the old K Line was very good.  It still was the standard 2 chuffs for TMCC.

You'll need the ceramic LED, the standard "2mm LED" is the post LED, and the body is much larger.  The ceramic LED is actually 2mm maximum size and slips right in.  Only the post is 2mm, the base is much larger on those.  Here's the comparison.

You can use a "regular" 2mm LED if you can find one. Most listed as 2mm are larger at the base. The ceramic LEDs do not exceed 2mm in width at any polnt.

Many manufacturers besides K-Line have used these LEDs over the years. Including Lionel, MTH, and 3rd Rail. Buy extras including green. You can always use them in other places on the layout.

I haven't found any either. Just trying to save the OP some time in looking.

OK, I was confused about the "if you can find one".  I'm fairly certain there isn't one, surely I'd have tripped over it by now.
