I have run the K-Line Plymouth switcher set on the older Super Streets D-16 curves which is just like the newer Bachmann E Z Streets. Have to provide power to the 10 inch straight sections in 2 places. I have run a small RDC passenger by RMT and a trolley by MTH on my Super Streets.

I am going to try to tie in the Super Streets track to my O gauge layout with the Super Streets to O gauge track piece. Layout still under construction.

Hi guys...very sorry to pick up such an old thread...but new to the board and this is the most recent search result for EZ street.  just grabbed a good bit of roadway, and several Bachmann chassis....not impressed with the lack of detail on the available bodies...so was hoping to mount some model 1:43 / 1:48s on the chassis...just can't seem to find any that fit..even with the adjustable frame...hoping some of you have already gone through this and have some manufacturers/models that are pretty good fits, minimal bashing involved?  thnaks in advance.. If you are interested in modifying 'Streets' vehicles, there are two books still available that cover many considerations for the 'Superstreets' or 'EZ-Street' system.  Further searches of the internet or this forum will provide more information.  Like you, when 'Streets' were first available, I did not care for the appearance of the vehicles.  After I saw some of Lee's conversion work, I then got into 'Streets'.  I started by adding lights from forum sponsor Evan Design to the Kline step van and small vans.  I then found that the step van chassis could be mated to a Corgi Mack CF fire engine as the wheel base and tire size is almost exact.  From there, I went one step further using HO/N scale decoders and a DCC system to add individual control of vehicles for speed, direction and lighting.  Many of the conversions are trial and error.  I have several boxes on a shelf of conversions started that need "more thought/work" or were "probably just a good idea".  The Dremel type tool comes in handy for much of the work.  Here is a link to what I have done so far with 'Streets'.

yep..thanks for the replies guys... Larry.. I have seen your Corgi fire engine...and so has my wife..who has informed me that I will need to upgrade her layout now for DCC/DCS as well..that will come in 2018...right now we just finished completely tearing down our 12x14 ft room which we initially built 12 yrs ago..and have added on over the years...it has a single Lionel running through about half the room, about 60 lighted buildings, a complete fairground with every ride that Lemax ever made, I had been using old Motorific cars to provide moving vehicles, but really wanted to upgrade that...as it is, you can enter the room, hit the wall light switch and the entire layout comes to life..except of course the motorifics that have to be individually powered on and basically run around an extended snakey loop around a village area.

I've also scrounged up some robotics components to create a drive/pully system that will be hidden underneath sidewalks landscaping..magnet mounted on the toothed drive belt allows people figures to  move along the sidewalk..the prototype is in version 2 and is almost ready to be installed in a couple segments of the layout..other fun project upgrades will include a working drive-in theater screen as I've scavenged an old portable DVD player.

I was just surprised by the car bodies.. I had figured that the old Lionel K-line static model series bodies would be more likely to fit on their streets chassis...and have been disappointed now with several tries..and yes.. I'm friends with my dremel tool...was just hoping to keep the grinding to a minimum with all the other work ahead of me

thanks for making me feel welcomed and for replying to my post.
