Looks very nice, great thinking outside the box.

Like the milk car and the red pin strip on the tender.

Did you mask the pin stripe and did you precut the mask for the round sections of the pin stripe them apply of bend the tape as you go or was it a home made decal?
Another question: What did you use to fill the Lionel metal badge recess on the tender, bondo?

The milk car was made with O scale decals from Highball Graphics in New Hampshire. On everything I've done so far in Standard Gauge I've used O scale decals and they seem to fit the proportions of the cars very well.

The B&M steam engine was done with a set of O decals that were made by Baystate Models years ago.  Baystate has long ago closed but the same B&M speed lettering is available from Highball Graphics. I filled the slot for the Lionel lines brass plate with a cut to fit piece of brass that was epoxied in place. The small cracks that were then left  were filled with Squardron filler putty and sanded numerous times. The red pin striping is a decal that was part of the speed lettering set from Baystate and I believe it is also included in the Highball graphics set.

Soon I'll be working on A B&M tender with the square white Herald to put with my other 390.  This one will require a bit more work as the red drivers and cow catcher will have to be painted black ( the red would just look out of place on this one.
