I found that Ebbets Field model.  As far as I can tell, it sold at auction for over $75,000 in 2013.  Guess you gotta be a serious fan with foolin' around money.......

Yes, Rick, several changes next year.  Shift is gone, better for batting averages, especially LH.  Pitch clock, fewer 4 hour games.  Stolen bases will be easier, but speed slows down any game.  Nothing done about 5 pitchers, throwing 97, at max effort, for one inning apiece.  I'm a Yankee fan, but the Mets can't keep their aces healthy throwing max every pitch.  Neither can most teams.

Earlier today, the Baltimore Orioles took the Columbian B&O passenger train:

Destination: the Stadium where they will play the Yankees tonight at approximately 7 PM.

They are in 2nd place in the strong Eastern Division of the American League ahead of the  Yankees in 3rd place.

The Orioles have some young outstanding players like catcher Adley Rutschman and centerfielder Cedric Mullins.

They are a formidable team IMO. Arnold

Arnold, Really nice looking engines. Now the Stadium is another story. My Red Sox have NEVER won there in that ballpark on your layout. What's with that?

My Yankee Stadium is in the Twilight Zone: every game is Don Larson's 1956 World Series perfect game. LOL

Train Nut, Yankee JV team is gonna lead the ML in homeruns.  Imagine what the varsity could do if they could stay healthy.  Of course, hitting a Titleist instead of a baseball has something to do with it.  Those NL guys are gonna hit 50.  MLB saying they don't know about the ball is like potato chip guys saying they don't know why their chip bags contain 50% air.

Arnold, the new stadium faces away from the el, while the train ran behind the bleachers in the old stadium.

Rich, thanks.  Love that Yankee frieze.  Still prefer to call it the facade.  The ones in these pics came from a guy in Florida.  I put a wireless router and TV in there so I can watch the Yanks.  Fortunately, my son loves trains, baseball, and the Yankees.  He was a helluva ballplayer.  Now, he lives in Austin and I can't come close to beating him at golf anymore.  Haha

Jerry, The sign and the viaduct look great.  I'm more of a Met fan but I do appreciate the history and glory days of the Yankees.  I even have a NY Yankees steamer;

Jerry & Frank, my Yankee Stadium is a caricature, not a model, of the old, not the new, Yankee Stadium.

So, based on what Jerry said, I got it right to have the train run behind the bleachers. To make it even better, I can have a subway run behind the bleachers as shown in the video below:

The subway is an MTH PS1 D Train subway that has station announcements, one of which is: Next stop 161st Street & Yankee Stadium.

Members of the local train club I formed had our annual event at last night's LI Ducks game. "Camaraderie Through Trains", is our motto.

Here is a pic of us with mascot Quacker Jack (That's me with the blue TCA shirt and tattoo to the left of Quacker Jack) and a pic of our name (in the red banner on the bottom) on the scoreboard.

Arnold, are you going to catch this Martian on video when he visits your Yankee Stadium?

Oh yeah!

Last night the Martian, Jasson Dominguez, hit a home run in his first at bat, on the 2nd pitch and during is very first swing in the Major Leagues.

Can't wait to see him play tonight. Arnold

Okay, Arnold; that’s a good one!  😄  I had to look up the Martian, Jasson Dominguez, to see why he is called that.  Being a Pirates fan, and they aren’t playing the Yankees this year, I never heard of him before.

It could be said Pirates closer David Bednar is a Martian for a different reason.  He graduated from my hometown Mars Area High School, Mars, PA.  But he is known as The Renegade.  😄. As an aside, I graduated from high school in Mars, and from college in Moon.  Figure that one out. 😆

Guys....I see that more and more responses here are just talking about baseball and don't include O scale trains.  In order for this thread to keep going then keep this thread on track by posting pictures of your O scale trains and layout pictures that relate to base ball.  If you want to talk baseball only, there are plenty of other forums for those kinds of discussions.  Thanks for your understanding and support!

Ok, will do!

Here's a video taken by me of an MTH PS1 subway in front of my Popsicle Stick scratch built Yankee Stadium that my young children and I made 25 years ago. Be sure to turn your sound up and listen to the announcement while playing the video:

The Popsicle sticks were glued together and painted by my young children and I to make the bleachers shown below:

@Arnold D. Cribari

Though I am a Yankee fan through and through, I also love baseball in general. Your Polo Grounds is great. You have Wilie Mays in the outfield running toward the wall that was just right of dead center field just before making, "The Catch". A link to the video clip of Willie Mays catching Vic Wertz's long fly ball in the 1954 World Series is below.
