I have not run my GG1’s as my layout is a series of 031 return loops via 022 turnouts. I have in this past week decided to utilize the springs and washers specifically designed for the stability purpose. I’ve only had the items a decade! Retired now I had no more excuse! I chose the 2332 black GG1 I have as the test project. Bore larger  holes in the two washers provided and sandwiched the spring on the truck peg. All seemed to be going great. Now I’m excited! Placed on the track and it seems that the two trailing trucks are very stable. Just one thing though. See video.

the power truck is no longer making contact!  Back to the drawing board. Been saying that a lot these days. To be continued.

I cutdown shortened the springs and still no difference! Now removed. OK, so the loco has had serious slippage on my tracks and I walked with it and saw that it does not play nice with elevated curves! I took out the majority of elevation and checked that my track was as level as I could get it. Will use a level for this purpose to refine the pathway. There are some small elevations on the 031 curves where the table (semi. Hollow doors) ends have dipped over the years, especially at the edges of the precipice as tracks on the very edge. As for the 022’s turnouts, no need for springs and washers, lead trucks behaving well!
Run at slow to medium speed on almost level track, brings miles of smiles! Video to arrive.
