...which became and is, now, the "Old Homestead"...

...neighborhood....my favorite bit of real estate on the whole layout, and I have no idea why...

Wow, you must be a time management professional! I could never get that much work done in just 2 weeks. I would still be working on leveling the benchwork so that no marbles (wherever placed) would roll off the table .....

Thanks to all for the kind comments. No, I am not a "a time management professional"...but they were some long, hectic days. And this has a lift bridge, down by the coaling station, on the left side, to get into the center to view. It was worth it. Greg

Thank you!  You just gave me an awesome idea!  I have this attic space attached to my youngest son's bedroom. It has a small 3' door entryway. There needs to be some serious work done to seal off all the "danger zones" (around the fireplace, and the places which have insulation but no flooring) but it's a bigger space than I have otherwise at my disposal. You've given me hope for a potentially expanded layout!

A little over a year ago we moved to our new home.  Shortly after I started work on my train layout.  These are pictures showing what the trainroom (3rd floor bonus room) looked like when we moved in and what it looked like end of year 2017.

First picture was taken by professional for sale of home, second is from my phone hence the poorer quality.

I like them all, Frank. Your later scenes are simpler. 

Simpler can be as good, if not better. Like in music, a beautiful simple song, is Rogers & Hammerstein’s Oh What a Beautuful Morning. That song, like your later scenes, Frank, expresses a beautiful simplicity. Oh What a Beautiful Morning was in the musical, Oklahoma.
