Thanks Bob.
I worked in Lake George summers when I was 15 and 16. Rocco's Pioneer Restaurant on Rt 9. Salad and desert man, I lived in the resturant's basement.
When I was 17, I did roofing and siding there in the summer.
Usually visit once a year as a side trip for Saratoga Raceway
Looks great. I like the picnic tables? Kit? Scratch built?

Thanks Ron,
I got the tables on ebay. Lazor cut wood. Just had to pop out the very delicate pieces and put them together with Elmer's white glue.

Nice campground. Needs a totem pole outside the office to go along with the native American name.

Great minds think alike, Coach.
Look what I found yesterday:
Sweet! Now for for the Saturday night campfire or even better a Firefall like they used to do in Yosemite long ago.

Coach,
Did a fireball have anything like a cup of gasoline tossed into the campfire?
Fun (but stupid) stuff!

Evans Designs sells a campfire kit. It's flashing LEDs and some Clephane.
John- Since you know the area, Kahn's Stepping Stones in Diamond Point. Went there every summer for many years. Caught my first fish, a white perch, off the beach, when I was little.
I highly recommend the fire kit from Evans also.

Nice campfires. But to answer John's question about the Firefall at Yosemite, during the summer, a fire would be built atop Glacier Point and at the end of the nightly show the embers would be pushed over the side to the valley below causing the appearance similar to a waterfall on fire. The practice was stopped in the late '60s. I've got a print of a picture that I was going to add here but then thought that might run afoul of copyright law so no picture. Look it up if you're interested.
