The 'King Kong' thread posted recently got me thinking about smaller layouts where operators may not be able to run the full-scale Big Boys, Northerns,  and the like.

What semi-scale (Rail King, Lionmaster, or similar) engines dominate your smaller layouts?

We had a RK Allegheny (photo here) awhile back that was quite large yet could handle the tighter curves. Also had a Lionmaster Class A that was super. No photos remain of it however.

I run Railking Y6Bs, Cab forward and the Allegheney and have recently acquired Lionmaster Big boy,Challenger and Class A. I just love the big stuff that is so different to anything we had in the UK.

I have very tight curves but have managed to disquise most of the sharp bends with scenery, buildings trees etc to try and fool the eye.It no where perfect but it does for me.
