I love Lionel starter sets because I'm a toy train runner and not scale modeler (although I admire those too.)
Anyone have the new Bluetooth Blue Comet? It looks fantastic, lots of play value. I'd love to see your pictures if you do and hear what you have to say about it!

I have the Blue Comet starter set, and I like it. It looks good, for a plastic train. It is very light weight and is certainly more cheap looking then the $1,000 trains, but for the price, what can you expect. As long as you consider it a “toy train” like I do, you should be happy.
And I should add, the remote control is great for young kids and old men (like myself).
Old man, here. And I love toy trains--they are my favorite. I have a table top, green felt, not to scale, completely changeable layout--my favorite way to do it. The set sounds like a winner. Thanks, Dick!
