I've been using my Android tablet and BlueTrain to control my TMCC trains and it works great. Has anybody tried connecting multiple Android devices to one bluetooth adaptor? Will it work?

I believe you need a special BT adapter to do that, though I haven't tried it. Why don't you give it a go? I recall a discussion about multiple connections and some complexities that arise.
I'm gonna give it a try.
I have another BT adapter coming from china. The one with the DB9 connector ends.
Will try to daisy chain them together to see if that works. Might have to reprogram the name on one of them.
I checked, only one connection. The documentation for BlueTrain also states that.
Ok, next question.
Is BlueTrain capable of sending Legacy commands?
If it is, then it would seem (from what I have read) that your bluetooth module will have to connect to a SER2. Is that correct?
Otherwise you have to use BlueTrain with the wifi module for Legacy commands.
Bluetrain is not currently capable of sending Legacy commands, I don't know what he has planned. If you want to be up to date, he created a BLUETRAIN Yahoo group where I suspect the current information is posted. Bluetrain connects to the WiFi module, conveniently your smart device already has that capability.
I was on the bluetrain group but cant get back into it any more.
I HATE YAHOO
I tried connecting two bluetooth-serial adapters to one TMCC base and it did not work. I guess some sort of RS232 switch/hub would be required.
Maybe if you had one base+bluetooth adapter per android device it would work?
I know having more than one base per layout is bad so maybe not.
On Saturday, the local HO club had their open house event.
My friend Doug had two small O gauge layouts setup.
I brought some of my TMCC equipment and demonstrated the bluetooth adapter and android app. Everyone seemed excited to see it work.
Doug was even more excited when I loaded to app on his phone and let him play with it.
Bluetrain is working with Lionel to create a Legacy control App. I believe it will be over WiFi so it will handle multiple users. The Lionel WiFi adapter will handle up to 15 devices.
Just downloaded bluetrain to my Galaxy 3 phone and when open it says cannot find bluetooth device 'VCAB-1' is there an extra bluetooth item that has to be purchased to make blue train work thanks Milton
You need a Blue Tooth adapter connected to your base. The base alone cannot receive the Blue Tooth signal.
will any bluetooth adapter work have never used blue tooth
IDK but I believe gunrunnerjohn has used one.
MartyE thank will try to get one and see if it will work thanks again
Here you go, this is the one I'm using with BlueTrain, works like a champ.

You'll need a 5V power supply with this unit, I just retasked an old cell phone charger, cut off the plug and wired it in.
