Hi everyone,
I have a BNSF smoking mechanical reefer, the newer version, and was trying to get it apart to service the smoke unit as I think I let it run a little low one day and its smelling slightly burnt.
After successfully deleting the footholds on one side (lol clumsy/fragile parts) I'm posting here for help from the OG's before I accidentally destroy it entirely. I took off the couplers and then went for two screws that I thought would hold the shell to everything and one of the screws immediately pulled out the plastic threads. Now one side of the unit isn't flush on the bottom and I have no way to look inside to see what may be in the way. I got it back together and everything works and I'm sure I could file the plastic on the non flush side but I feel like there may be a trick I just don't know to get it back to 100%.
If anyone knows how to get inside the shell safely and can tell me I would be very grateful.
Also, being new to the hobby, I had no idea how much bigger scale is vs non-scale. Just mentioning that for anyone researching in the future.
