I am building some trusses and I have some gusset plates.
I wanted to add bolts to the plates.
I added threads to the bolts.
These 3D prints will fit into laser cut gusset plates that have laser cut holes to fit the bolts.

Very impressive Alan. Remind me, are you using a resin or filament printer?
Pete
Formlabs 3+ laser resin printer
I don't think the filament printer would do that.

Really?
I made a much smaller one... but I can't hold the camera and keep my fingers out of the way to screw the nut off and on.

OK Dennis, I'm suitable impressed! I didn't think you'd get that fine a resolution, I stand (sit) corrected!
Dennis
this is the ONE time I would say that MINE at 0.060" IS WAY SMALLER THAN YOURS!!
Or my fingers are way larger....
The one in the video is .180"... and, the small one I printed is .120"... or, twice as BIG as yours!!!!!!!! I tried a .090" and it was a no go.
Most folks in the FDM world use a .4mm nozzle. I think I'll order a few .1mm and .2mm nozzles and see what can be done with those. They are pretty darned cheap and take all of 2 minutes to swap out.
