I like the k-line and mth cars the most but I got a williams today and it is taller than the others, maybe a 1/4 inch. Is it the scale because some say 0 027 or is it larger trucks? It is a 608655 box car by williams. Thank from a new guy.

I believe that's a 1:48 scale car, so it will look oversized compared to a lot of the "traditional" 3-rail O-gauge cars which are actually undersized. O-gauge is not always O-scale!
The same thing happened to me: I once bought a Williams boxcar thinking it looked good by itself, then when I got it home next to my "traditional" size postwar Lionel trains ... it looked too big.
Yes, I agree with ACE. A full O scale car will be bigger than a 0-27 car. But, keep in mind, even prototypes are not always the same size.

I agree with Ace - the Williams car may look a little oversized, but, heck, once you accept that third rail.....! Run whatever you like!
Yeah, I wouldn't let it keep you from running it with any others if that concerns you. A look at some old films of trains will show a wide variation in sizes of boxcars.
The size the Williams boxcars where O K but did not like the glossy finish.
currently do not own any.
I managed to buy a Scale TOFC and it really sticks out on my layout. I have found that several sizes exist even avoiding full 1:48 stuff. They do, however work as long as you avoid the smallest next to the biggest, put a few moderate size ones in between and they are fine.
I put it on the end next to the large caboose I have and it doesnt look too out of place. I wish I had a few more even.

A 1/4" different would not be totally out of scale. If you saw a real PRR X-29 box car next to a 1950's era 'new' box car they would look similar but the X-29 would be smaller all around. So it's not always 'wrong'. Now a Weaver scale box next to a Lionel small 'Baby Ruth' box car will look 'wrong'!!
