I recently picked up an O scale Brass 4-4-2 Hiawatha . I believe it is an Overland piece , and am in need of a source for brass machine screws , and help in measuring them, any one?

Micro Fasteners. Get an assortment of metric screws.

Very high odds they well be metric. The screws do not have to be brass, they can be steel. Some I have, especially more recent imports, have steel screws
Steel is usually better. Brass screws should never be over-tightened. I do use a lot of brass, but never where things need to be really tight.
