Unfortunately I cancelled. Got hit pretty hard here & more coming later this afternoon.
Eddiem and I canceled. We will try for Sunday.
Same here.
Paul
Same here. Maybe next year, That's what I said last year.
Please give a report on the weather conditions and the crowds at the show for people like me that decided to stay home. Maybe next year.
Ginny, Mike Lauria, Skip Natoli (hopefully) and I will go tomorrow.
We're disappointed, but undaunted.
John, thanks for the report. Dotty and I will be going Sunday. The Mass pike is crazy in this weather. Passenger Train Collector and Elizabeth will meet us Sunday along with Chris Lonero and Linda. We will shoot for the OGR booth at 2PM for a Sunday photo.
I canceled.
5"? Around here that is called a dusting.
Pete
I will see you all tomorrow at the 2pm Photo Shoot.
That's a shame about the weather. It's going to be 71 degrees for the GGLRRC/LCCA show in San Jose, CA tomorrow.
But we still don't have basements.
I'm sitting home crying, This show is usually the highlight of my birthday week, But I didn't want to drive 3 hours plus snow and risk the lives of the family. Even if it was for a train show!
RoyBoy, I will take the bad weather anyday to have basements. My basement is always 72-74 degrees all winter long. Good day to be in the basement while the snow and rain are outside. We will be at the Big E on Sunday. I might even find a passenger car or two. That is if Brian does not see it first.
Marty...since I won't be there, I have instructed Ed and Don to buy up every passenger car so that there is at least something left for me to choose from...LOL!!
Alan
I cancelled today but I'll be making the trek tomorrow! I'll give the plows a chance to do there job. See you all tomorrow.
That's the trouble with the big E, They have it a the worst time of year. The diehards will make it on Sat. to get the best deals. By Sun they will be gone.
Alan, you are the man. Thank you. This past year has been crazy. Every turn I make I keep finding more.
On the real side, I go to stay in contact with all the great OGR Forum members and others.
I wish this was held later in the year.
My friend and I decided not to go. Here in NE PA, we got about 6 inches by early morning. We would have been following the storm all the way up. This would have been our first time, and I was looking forward to seeing my old friend Bruce Vincelette, as well as meeting some of the OGR guys. Better luck next year. Next up is Allentown, then York.

...for the rest of us
what is The Big E, and where is it?

Here Roger, check these out. A very nice show, especially if you enjoy seeing club layouts.

We are set to go early in the morning. See you all tomorrow.
At least it is a 2 day show so most of us can have a shot at a "do over" on Sunday!
Have fun guys I'll be at home in South Philly in my basement. When I grow up I'm going to be just like Roy Boy.
When I left the show after the OGR shoot the roads were mostly clear of snow. While it was a good turnout it was no where as packed as I've seen it.
Paul, we missed your camara at the shoot, Ed is all thumbs with his

Hi Rich, you sound like a news anchor at his warm comfy-cozy desk talking about the reports out in the storm. Gee a true leader!
I made it no snow in Schenectady till I left and sloppy on the pike over the Berks and it was good to see those who braved the elements, the road home was wet only!!!! Had a great time but bought 50 new trees and a VW bus filled with hippies!!! It was actually refreshing to have a lighter crowd because us shoppers could see the tables clearly with out dodging....
Any reports from the Atlas booth, they posted their new catalog late Fri night, was curious if they are still displaying the GE-8w Trainman diesel and when they might be delivering it A-Z schedule still says !st Q 2015.
John S and I made it up here yesterday. We were at the show. Not much O gauge. The roads were slippery this morning but not too bad now. We are heading home in the morning

It is 70 degrees and sunny here in the SF Bay Area. I am wearing shorts and a T-shirt outside.
The Big E sounds like a fun show.
Joe
This is a bad time of the year to have this. We went to St. Annes Parish, Jamacia instead.

Leading from behind! Lol
LOL!!
You've got that right! I stayed home...in "sunny" Ohio.
I didn't know the sun shone in winter in Ohio! Especially in the greater Cleveland area.
