Anyone have or use the Bridgeboss elevated subway system?  Looking for some pictures. They seem to be expensive but it's a solution I have been looking for to run a upper level over existing fastrack.  Wonder how easy to assemble?  They come painted for an extra price. Looking for some ideas to run a upper level over existing lower level fastrack.  Thank you

Hi Dkokoszka.

This is Jim at Bridgeboss. Another forum member made me aware of the posting. Please give me a shout by phone or email and we can discuss your requirements and I can give you a quick estimate. I most likely can send you a 3d drawing of something similar as Ive made many of these for potential customers. I always include step by step assembly procedures along w my personal assistance. See attached an example of these drawings and also a couple of customers photos.

Let me know.

Rich, I first looked at the last pic and thought to myself "Wow, those Bridgeboss elevated trestles look exactly like the real thing!"...I thought I was looking at a pic of the loop in Chicago!!!  So well done.

Your not alone. Even zoomed I was also thrown by the driver in the SUV.

The sign for the CB&H was the giveaway! Nice work, ........both of you!

Agree that the subway is much more than awesome.  Is that RE Lee under that center support?  Sure looks like a CSA officer, haha.

Jim at Bridgeboss has helped me with two or three projects.  He is great to work with and his products are excellent.  I build most of my upper levels out of bass and balsa wood.  Try National Balsa in Mass.  It gives me a great deal of flexibility (my train rooms need it) and really lowers the cost.  For the really good stuff, I go to Jim.

I should also point out that layouts are never finished.  Mine has years of detail work left to do.  That is much of the fun and keeps the interest high.  So...don't worry that you're not good at measuring and building.  All you really need is time and a few dollars.  My layout is definitely toy train.  I'm never in the class that a lot of the guys are, but I love my trains and love the pics of the true artists' layouts.  These guys talents are beyond belief.

Dont think I could do this. Detailing skills are limited.

If you visit his website bridgeboss.com you will see some customer photos.  Some of them are my wife's and mine (notice how I gave my wife partial ownership?)  .  Jim built the elevated, el station and a 3 module train shed for me.  I am sure there are others out there, but you will do no better than Jim Robinson.

I sent him my layout drawing and he had his measurements down to 1/16th of an inch.  Very important since I was spanning curves with Big Boys and Lionel 21" cars.

FYI, Jim has been out a while with some neck issues.  He is on the mend and may be ready to move forward.

Thanks Bryant for your kind support of my products. Your layout turned out just spectacular.

Ive been basically out of commission for the last few minutes due to a dramatic spinal neck surgery. This was quite an experience stemming from several months before the diagnosis and will continue for several more months.

i just found out today that I will  finally be going home next Wednesday after several weeks of therapy. I will be receiving

continued therapy at home . I’m hoping to be back in operation in the next several weeks.

Thanks to everyone for your  well wishes.
