Forum member Bill Park and his wife Barbara from Albany NY stopped here in western NC to see our club's layout on the buffalo ranch today on their way down to Florida for a few weeks. The weather was perfect and we met at a local cafe on Interstate 40 about 5 miles from the club. Property owners Harold and Harriet met us at the facility and we got the tour. The property is some acreage up from a large river with several log cabins of various sizes that operates as 'Buffalo Creek Vacations' by Harold's adult children. They built a 'station' that houses a game room and laundry for guest and the company store where they offer buffalo meat and T shirts et. al. It's a very nice family friendly vacation destination where the guests have a choice of a log cabin or a real caboose remodelled into a hotel room that can sleep several people. The top floor of the station houses our club's layout in a 50' x 30' space.
