Bumpy base coat paints on recent MTH engines including special runs | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi Folks,

In the few pictures and videos, including you tube, that I have seen, I seem to have noticed the base coat colors on recent MTH engines, including the special runs offered by various hobby stores, that the paint seems bumpy or perhaps contains overspray. The decoration layer is sharp and as crisp as ever. The problem if real, seems to exist only in the base coat.

Can purchasers of these engines possibly attach photos of their models to this message string? I ask this, as there are a couple of road names I would like to pick up, but I want to make sure the pictures/videos I have seen are random examples, and do not represent the majority of base coat paint. Close ups are the best help.
