I have not lived in Chicago for many years but.  Hearing the voices (accents) on that video made me miss the windy city.  I knew it was Chi town right away.  LOL

Is this some kind of bust?  Very impressive.  Well done, all.  I love these little vignettes.

Well now NJ  HiRailers are in the center of Paterson. 

Not really a crime scene, but a trooper is needed anyway.

A late night joy ride did not end well for this teen! The roads were slick and he went up a hill and through a fence!

I think the "lovers lane" scene in this thread is an excellent compromise in that regard.

I found these pictures in my files.

As you can see, there is a siding along the wall that is hidden under the buildings. The entrance to the siding is a tunnel through the mountain. The buildings are removable with an electrical connector bringing power to each of two sets of 3 removable buildings. The building you asked about was built around the track, to the dimensions needed for the exit of the siding. The building is named "Wayout Widgets" because it is the "Way Out" of the siding.  Thanks for asking.

This is my post-crime-and-conviction vignette; these guys are doing time but are out on supervised work-release, due to good behavior, cleaning up some track-side debris and re-ballasting some of the track.:

My little town has it's own version of the Mayberry sheriff's office, and like Mayberry there is very little real crime. But unlike Mayberry, thanks to Earl, criminals beware. The citizenry is not to be messed with!   LOL

The most that ever happens is an occasional 'out-of-towner' parking near a fire plug

Then again - not much happens when your layout has some key personnel in place....

Zach K. I love your story line, your layout, lighting, and photography -- well everything.  But I'm particularly interested in the "Eat Here" boxcar restaurant in the background.  Does it have a story?  (Can I get a "box lunch" there? :-)
