Hi,

I just added a L2RC (08) board to my Service Station C-420 and now in cmd mode I have no lights.  Lights still work in conventional mode so they are not the problem.  Used engine code 8 to program and everything else works fine (smoke, horn, bell, couplers, direction, throttle) but no lights.  If I press aux 2 they sometimes flash and "0" will make them blink, but nothing I've tried will get them to turn on....an ideas???

Thanks for your insights!

Mike

Mike-

Are the lights LED or traditional incandescent? The flashing almost suggests the lights might be wired to the "feature" pin on the R2LC, which is used normally for a smoke unit or a flashing strobe. If this is the case, selecting a different AUX feature code when programming the engine, such as AUX1+6.

Thanks so much Bill and John!  Never would have figured that out...(Yes, it is a C08)

Sorry for delay in my reply, wife's birthday dinner tonight!  I have a Dash 9 coming that I hope the C08 board will work in so yes I guess I need a C07.  I did notice that the upgrade kit called for the C08 but the engine parts break-out for the cmd versions used the C07.  Not knowing the difference (thanks for the insights!) I went with the C08.

Is there a ref sheet that breaks out the different board characteristics??

John, what would you like for the C07?

Thanks so much!

S/F Mike
