I have a Lionel cab 1l unit and am planning to buy a legacy STEAM engine. Will I get the same rail sounds with my cab 1l? Also please advise which features I will not have if I buy a legacy engine with my cab 1L. I .

Just search for Cab 1L. There are many topics that address your questions. Good luck!

With the Cab 1 L You will not have all the features that are available with Cab 2, one thing you will lack is the laboring sounds as the engine goes up a grade with a heavy train behind. The Cab 1 L lacks a number of the Cab 2 features but for myself I went to the Cab 1 L for the simplicity of use. I started out with TMCC Cab 1 then tried Cab 2, to much there for this old guy and went to Cab 1 L. I enjoy running trains and Cab 1 L has all I need.
