My CAB2 rechargeable batteries died, so I replaced them with regular Duracell AA batteries. I do not see any specifications for the Duracell batteries, but they are the regular coppertops. I put electrical tape over the charging contacts on both the base and the CAB2 (thanks to tips from this forum), so the regular batteries are the only power source for the CAB2. Everything works fine when the power is on, but when I turn off the CAB2 the backlights stay on. With the power off, the screens go blank but remain backlit, and the control buttons do not work . I can take out a battery to turn the CAB2 off totally. Is this normal? Should I order the Tenergy rechargeable batteries recommended by Gunner John? Thanks.
