I just got a new Bar end truck/SP type caboose for my caboose.  It has 2 wires on the truck.  There is one wire on the light on the frame.  How do I wire up this truck so my light works?  This truck is different from the one that came with the caboose.  Please help me with this problem.

If there aren’t any other wires, the socket is probably grounded to the frame, then to the outer rails... although  feasible, this 6EE2D70F-414B-46F4-9516-958BF4D8EED5doesn’t sound right, and I may be mistaken.  In my (limited) experience the center rail pickup roller’s “hot” wire on the truck goes to the button inside the base of the lamp socket.  The ground “common” is typically soldered to the outside of the lamp socket & picked up on the truck’s axle from the outside rails. Others on here will know much more than I, but I always thought lights were a two wire deal.  209CF701-9413-450C-AF09-D38164C641E017CE4398-A028-4BBA-8208-8AD693E334304D38E29D-E279-4FFD-B2CC-CD68E5349401
