That is my question! Is it doable, or a pipe dream?

It all depends on where the boards are under the stacks. I suspect it's "possible" in most cases, but some cases might be a lot of work and/or expense to get the job done. When it gets past a certain point, you'll be better off looking for a nice Legacy GP38 and sell the Weaver...
Thanks John, I would in a heartbeat, but I want the Vermont Railways. Not very common from what I've seen. I know it's a long shot but now that may Atlas GP60 is running well (thank you kindly), I'd love it if they both smoked!
Yes its doable. I saw one made at the former Milburn Train and Hobby being done by Bill Serratelli who now works for Atlas model rr.
He had to make a custom brass trapezoidal funnel for the smoke output so the smoke comes out of BOTH STACKS that flank the Dynamic Brake cooling fan.
Dont forget the exhaust/DB fan is a separate snap on piece the you have to take off and cut through the underlying subshell.
As the Gunrunner says its a lot of work and may not be cheap when using an installer.
Thanks guys. Wondering if a repaint may be the way to go. I would only do this to keep the road name. Lots to go through for a puff of smoke, I reckon!
