How do you run your Legacy TMCC trains now?  To run MTH trains on TMCC/Legacy requires you to run them conventionally.  So you need a device that can control track voltage that is controlled buy a TMCC/Legacy Remote or wifi.  There were several variations of Track power control, PM, Legacy PM, TPC.  Lionel website has some information to help you out.  G

Thanks for input.  I run 2 remote controlled units with TMCC using CAB-1, ZW transformer.  I used to run the conventional engines on my old KW transformer, never mastering the use of adding a Legacy Powermaster.  CLASSIC TOY TRAINS booklet-COMMAND CONTROL FOR TOY TRAINS, page 32 apparently details how to run conventional units with a CAB 1 or 2.

I'll check your sourcing recommendations too.

Thanks again.  I'm a neophyte attempting to learn something new.  (-:

Which zw? Old postwar which you can use, just make sure you are using a good and fast fuse protection. You would have to buy a powermaster or a TPC. New zw can be used as well. If you have that, it has the powermasters built into it internally on all 4 outputs.

You can then run your MTH engine with a cab-1 conventionally with the new zw as you can control the output voltage to the track.

If you buy a cab-2 system, the same occurs with either zw. I pretty sure you can control the output voltage as a cab-2 will talk to the built in powermasters in a new zw. If not, buy the Legacy powermasters as it has the same features as the TPC.

Most of my MTH PS1 have been converted over to ERR Command Control as I do not use DCS.  the remaining PS1 and PS2/3 I have run fine with my ZWC and 180 bricks with the cab1.   True, they are in "conventional" because you are varying track voltage for control.  And, you do not have use of all the sounds and functions.  But, in the end, yes, you can rum any MTH engines on a TMCC system, with the cab1 and use of the #9 key.  Read the manual for the ZWC/cab1 combination and it gives the steps to do so.
