Looks like I'm never going to be able to purchase anything online from Menard's any more. No matter which store I attempt to order from or which web browser I use, I get a credit card declined. My bank says there are 2 transactions: One with no amount so it is declined; the second one has an amount and is approved. But yet today I checked and the item is still in my cart. Anyone else experience this?

I've e-mailed their customer support, but this is a recurring problem.

Does the approved amount correspond with what you tried to purchase?  Conformed that approved amount was to Menards?

Maybe try a different credit card?

They don't have a phone number (which I am not a fan of). They have a contact page on their website in the link someone else posted, and that is probably your best thing to try, I don't know if you did that or you sent an email in. They don't even have live chat many places do.

Correct - this from their customer service department ...

" I apologize for any inconvenience but unfortunately as we are not a call center we do not make outbound or receive inbound phone calls. However, I am more than happy to help via email! "

I have seen this before it has nothing to do with the card you use or bank. It’s the company they are using to clear the card. Clear you browsers/history/cache/the try again. Browsers are Notorious for cheating and holding cookies in place and then reuse them.

Glad the OP was able to order. There can be a variety of reasons things don't go through, some card issuers for example want zip code as a further safety precaution and they didn't bother to tell clients to update their entry forms. One thing to try if you run into a problem like this, flush the browser cache, that can cause issues with processing.

It also can be an issue with whoever processes the firms orders, and sometimes one card works and others won't.

I will add a lot of websites have horrible error handling, things go through it looks like but when you look in the browser debug log, you see an error.

Anyway, glad it worked.

Just like the nurse shortage, the soon coming teacher shortage, todays world has things happening that we cannot make sense of. How many times do some apps ask you to change passwords. A different world, not acceptable to most of us, but it’s our world. I think companies are struggling to maintain standards.
