T.V. Buckwalter, the primary inventor of the roller bearing, had a son that was into O gauge in the 1930's and 40's.  He had a large, for the time, model line in the attic of his large SC home, all run by a Lionel 250 watt Trainmaster, where each control was assigned its own district.  Through connection with the family, they gave me quite a bit of his roster, including several locos, all of them, heavily modified, painted, scale couplers added.  I include a pic of his 2-14-4 he built out of two Lionel engines, one with 8 drivers coupled to one with 6 drivers.  The other 8 pics attached are two more of his creations, and I have four others, but wondered if someone might ID the maker of these two by seeing through the changes he made.  Thanks.

P.A.  I have another of his engines, a 4-8-4, where he installed 2 diesel power trucks in the tender.  He must of had some serious grades on his pike.

Great items.  I wish I had some information for you.  The drive on the first 2-4-2 looks like it came out of a Marx locomotive, but the boiler casting is only vaguely familiar from something I ran across on the 2 rail listing on eBay.  The cab though looks like it was added and or heavily modified.

That 2-14-4 is something else!  Lima Super Duper Power?

Would love to see more pictures.

Both of the 2-4-2’s are Lionel 1655’s with added cabs, domes, etc. Collector plates have been modified extensively. The tenders are Ametican Flyer prewar O. First one came with a few different 2-4-2 and 2-4-4 wheel arrangements; second one is from an 0-6-0.

Would love to see more pics of that 2-14-4 as well as the other models you have.
