Hello, I probably should go to see a doctor,but I found a New Old Stock Premier Cab Forward Shell,and had this insane idea that maybe I could “Flip my Big Boy around” and use the chassis of the Big Boy and make a “Frankenstien” Cab Forward out of it. I don’t care!!!!
The project would not have to look like a picture perfect Cab Forward.
A “Freak” “Frankenstein”,one of a kind is more of what I would like to do.
Something no one else has.Customized like a “Hot Rod”,With smoke units everywhere!!!!Let’s put whistle steam in it too!!
The Big Boy has been upgraded to Proto 3,and parts are still available for the Big Boy,if someone needed to make a cut or two to make this work.
Parts are not available for the Cab Forward ,to my knowledge,but I’m not an asking tech.
What techs can get is completely different from what is available on the website.
Is it just another one if my insane ideas?, or could it be done by one of the senior techs on this forum?
What would prevent someone from making this happen?The Big Boy is about 3 inches longer than the Cab Forward.
I Do Know This.
I’ve had them side by side before,and the “Porch”at the front of the Big Boy is how much longer it was than the Cab Forward,matched up nose to nose.
Would this prevent it from being able to be done?,or is there another way to get around the size differences?
Just would like some thoughts on this. I can still dream can’t I??
Everybody has a Big Boy,but who has a Big Boy that was turned into a “Freak”Cab Forward??
