I purchased a new TIU and then added Wi-Fi. Neither the app on my phone nor the DCS controller seem able to find the TIU. I know that the TIU is powered and working because the red light is on and the track has power since I run my TMCC through the TIU and it works fine. Please help.

when you power up the tiu how many led blinks do you see!
Thank you very much for responding,Alan. What am I looking for? How many blinks and what do they mean? Also, unfortunately, my TIU is several feet away from the Z4000 and my master turn on switch, so I’m concerned that I won’t see the blinks. Your help is much appreciated.
When power applied it blinks the number of times its address is. 1 to 5. Any more it is bad. No blink is issues too. Once it blinks it's address it will go solid. Move it closer just to test and count. G
When I turn on the power to the layout, without turning on the handle on my Z4000, the TIU seems to power on. The red light goes on and then blinks once. So is that one blink or two? TMCC works perfectly and it is wired through the TIU
.The WIFI unit shows the the MTH stand alone , not WIFI to be active, as I would expect.
I am certainly frustrated. I have not been able to use the TIU for MTH trains since I got it. Neither my handheld or my phone app are able to find this TIU. Any help is very much appreciated.
Thank you very much.

One.
Can you show how it is wired?
Have you connected a DCS Remote to the TIU with a Phone cord? (I believe MTH will be making a big mistake dropping hand held remotes from production)
