Hoping someone can give me a tip on how to reattach the motor mount screw on MTH 20-2507-1.

I mistakenly unscrewed it to replace a traction tire.

I think its not sitting right.  It feels like the truck is inserted properly, but the screw is not grabbing, so I'm doing something wrong.

If you have the shell off, turn the flywheel by hand as you bring the truck to the motor mount, and see if you can feel the gear engagement as you bring the two pieces together……then support the chassis in your hand holding the motor with very gentle pressure towards the truck, and you should be able to start your screw back,….pay attention to wiring as you move the two together that nothing bunches or gets pinched…

I had to look at images of what a flywheel is!

what I had to do was push up the flywheel while seating the truck.

that worked.  A bit cumbersome because it is housed by plastic.

PAT,

THANKS FOR QUICK REPLY!

now onto changing the traction tire.  One screw for the truck side easily removes, but the other screw is hidden and must be difficult to remove. I pivoted out the end of the truck side and will try to get the tire on.

Much easier to remove truck sides on later manufactured engines.
