With PS1 or PS2, I could swap the tender of a steamer with the engine of another steamer and run everything without trouble, being that I kept PS1 with PS1 (4 pin tether), and PS2 with PS2 (10 pin tether), or course. With the PS3 drawbar engines, can you do the same thing with various steamers, or are they each wired up uniquely? Just curious.

Thanks.

Actually you can only do that with PS-1.  You can get lucky with PS-2 or do it with like models, but if you connected a 5V to a 3V or a mux to non mux type you would cause damage.

I would recommend NO on PS-3.  While the 6 pin is standard, MTH has been changing boards over to EMI boards and Code is different.  So if you connected a non EMI tender board to a EMI Boiler board and tried to run it, the engine would not run, but also draw high current.  If you did not catch it you would damage boiler board.  G
