I was playing around with some of the DCS shortcuts (FDL, FC I think) for my MTH PS2 Steam locomotive(2004 volume 2) and noticed I turned the green lights (I think they are called marker or classification lights) went off.  Those shortcuts are not related to these lights, but somehow they turned off.

Now I can't find how to turn them on!

Anyone can offer suggestions?  I tried the headlight button on lower left of the remote and looked through the control panel and all the options under more ...

Look for the "LMK" or, possibly, the "LIN" soft key to toggle the marker lights on and off.

If it's not in the soft keys just below the window of the remote, press the arrow soft key to see the entire soft key list, and look for either Marker Lights or Interior Lights (sometimes they're linked together with the markers)

This and a whole lot more is all in "The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", now available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book from MTH's web store site! Click on the link below to go to MTH's web page for the book!

I did both resets, looked at all the soft keys using the arrow and the entire list (more...).

That's the thing - there is no LIN or LMK - I would have known to try that because I have diesel engines that make use of those abbreviations.

I do have a different sound file than the original, but I doubt that dictates any options on the remote.  When I add back the engine it does say SF 4-6-4 #3463 which is the correct locomotive.

I still don't see any LMK or LIN soft keys or anyway to turn them off, but that's fine as I want them on.

Keep that original sound file, it can be your fallback. They are called "sound files", but I think they are really "engine control files", if you will. Different locos have different functionalities, and possibly wiring (but I'm not going to look, as I just put everything away). The simplest instance is, I have 2 RTR 2-8-0s. 1 is the exactly prototypical "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" The other is a ridiculous interpretation of a "PRR Steam Engine" Anyway, in DCS the PRR headlight is controlled by the headlight button. On the Rudolph it is controlled by the Mars light button (note the Rudolph headlight flashes). So, if you ever want to control those lights, it may be trial and error, loading files. Enjoy!
