Can't run Lionel Engines with DCS Remote 4.1 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I recently prurchased a new Legacy remote and Cab 2 to add to my DCS layout. Previously I had a command base and was able to run TMCC engines with the DCS or Cab 1 remote. I hooked up the Legacy base following the schematic on page 124 of Barry's book (2nd edition) replacing the #50-1018 cable with the #50-1032 cable. I am able to run TMCC engines with the Cab 1 or Cab 2 remotes but not with the DCS remote. I do not have any problem controlling my DCS engines, switches and accessories using the DCS remote. I have checked the programming numbers of the TMCC engines and they correspond exactly to the numbers in the DCS remote. Any suggestions as to solving my problem?

Is it possible that you installed the new cable with the ends reversed?
