Can the volume of the car wash be adjusted? It seems to be very loud.

I've got no idea if you can now, but a potentiometer added on the speaker leads should do it I'd think.

Try adding a 25-Ohm 3-Watt rheostat to one of the speaker wires. I got this tip from a Dale Manquin post. It worked well on Mel's diner - cut the volume to about half. The old Radio Shack part number was 271-265. Don't know if you can find that but someone else should have it.
