A friend asked me to do this on his unit, here is what I have so far:

There is a new dummy rear coupler and some type of jumper plug for the rear in the box.

Do we need to have a jumper for the front coupler when removing and replacing it with a Kaydee coupler?

Which Kaydee coupler do you recommend?

Thanks!

The jumper is for running another a or b unit so you can plug them in together when running in a consist ie ABA, ABBA, AB etc

Kadee 740 or 805

I've just been informed it is needed in the real coupler circuit when you remove the operating coupler.

Looks like the 740 or 745 is the front choice. Thanks!
